The Round Leland Blue Necklace is set in an ornate sterling silver pendant and strung on an 18 inch sterling silver chain. The 14mm Leland Blue stone is available in light blue, medium blue or dark blue. Due to the nature of the Leland Blue Stone, no two necklaces will be alike in color and pattern. The artisan will make every effort to choose a Leland Blue stone to match your color request.
The artisan cuts, shapes, and polishes each Leland Blue stone before setting it into the beautiful piece.
Leland Blue is a byproduct of the short-lived days of smelting by the Lake Superior Iron Company in Leland, Michigan between 1875 and 1900. Used to fortify the original pier in Leland, it now washes up on the shore as a modern-day treasure.
