Author Amy Henrickson aka Ms. Hen
Amy Henrickson lives among the Dutch, but embraces her Norwegian ancestry. Her husband, Wally, and her cat, Willa Cather live with her in West Michigan where she participates in writing groups, retreats, and conferences, including the Frederick Buechner conference held at Princeton University, and writing courses at the Iowa Writing Festival in Iowa City. Her best-selling book, written under the pen name of Ms.Hen is titled, “Let’s Explore Mackinac Island.” Her background in education, non-profit organizations, and love of travel have enriched her writing.

I absolutely loved this book. I read it in one and a half days and lost a lot of sleep, simply because I could not put the book down. It was well worth it. The author has created characters that last in your mind long after the last page. I cannot stop thinking about them, especially Dena, even though I finished the book 2 weeks ago. The author is that good in making her characters seem real. ~Betsey
Normally I don’t read suspense novels. I decided to take a chance on “Whistle in the Dark”, and I was not sorry. Once I started reading, I was hooked. It had everything, romance, mystery and suspense. It keeps you guessing throughout the story. Who is after Dena? Will Nick and Dena end up together? What happened to Dena’s deceased husband? Dena and Nick are so likeable that you don’t want the story to end. Months after finishing the book, I honestly could not stop thinking about them. I cannot wait for the next novel. ~H. Johnson
This book took me to the end with continual surprises and suspicions. COULD NOT Put IT Down!!! It has a good romance to go with it as well. You’re gonna love Nick! His character is not just beautiful looking – but has a good soul as well. ~mlkulee
LOVED this book!!!! From the beginning to the end it was filled with suspense, intrigue and mystery. (I think I’m in love with Nick) I did not want it to end. This is a very well-written book and an impressive debut novel. Lisa Caretti’s characters are interestiing and well developed, and she has a gift for creating believeable dialogue. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and I look forward to her next one. ~Sherrill
