About the Round Leland Blue Necklace by Shoreline Gems
This Leland Blue Necklace has a horseshoe shape setting strung on a 18 inch sterling silver chain. The 12mm stone is set in an antiqued sterling silver setting with marquise design and open back. Due to the nature of the Leland Blue Stone, no two necklaces will be alike in color and pattern.
The artisan cuts, shapes, and polishes each Leland Blue stone before setting it into the beautiful piece.
Leland Blue is a byproduct of the short-lived days of smelting by the Lake Superior Iron Company in Leland, Michigan between 1875 and 1900. Used to fortify the original pier in Leland, it now washes up on the shore as a modern-day treasure.
