These organically grown cherries are thoroughly washed and slightly infused with an organic sugar solution to enhance the natural sweetness and preserve their chewy texture. Then they are lightly spritzed with organic sunflower oil for an incredible burst of cherry flavor. This ruby red fruit is delicious as a snack, in salads or in baked goods. Ingredients: Organic cherries, organic sugar and organic sunflower oil.
The proprietary processing technology used to create these dried cherries is so unique, you can taste the difference in every bite. Dried red tart cherries are prepared in accordance with good manufacturing practices by infusing whole red tart pitted cherries in a sugar solution and subsequently drying the infused cherry to a specific moisture content. Organic sunflower oil is topically applied. The dried fruit is quality analyzed and visually inspected before packaging. Store in a cool dry location. Preferably store between 40 – 50 degrees. An occasional pit may be present. All of the Dried Tart Cherries are Kosher certified. They are packed in re-sealable bags so you can enjoy the wholesomeness and convenience in their many uses.
These Michigan-grown cherries follow USDA Good Agricultural Practices for growing and the orchards are verified by the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP). This is a voluntary program that verifies environmentally friendly practices are in place.
