  • Chippewa Tribes Postcard: One of the largest groups in North America – lived around the region of Lake Superior and known for beautiful floral design beadwork, originating the web-like “Dreamcatcher”, crafting Birch Bark canoes.
  • Ottawa Tribes Postcard: Ottawa – also spelled “Odawa” meaning trader – fashioned wampum beadwork out of strings of white and purple quahog or whelk tubular shells and worn as adornment, used as money, good faith tokens, and guided history narratives, traditions and laws.
  • Potawatomi Tribes Postcard: Potawatomi – “People of the Fire” – originally settled near Lake Michigan – hunted, trapped and ice fished in the winter. Traditionally during early spring tapped maples trees for syrup and sugar.
